CartIQ ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to total transparency. This policy details how our Evidence-Engine processes your data using lab-verified scientific standards.

1. Information We Collect & Why

Voice Data: Temporary audio is processed via OpenAI for VoiceFlow AI batch entry and is not stored permanently.
Health & Product Data: Barcodes scanned via SmartScan AI are matched against Open Food Facts to calculate scores.
The Evidence-Engine: We store your "Clean Cart" streaks and health impact scores locally and in encrypted cloud storage to provide historical insights.
Biometrics: Fingerprint and Face ID data stay in your Android Keystore; CartIQ never sees or touches this data.

2. Technical Transparency

Your health scores are calculated using an objective methodology, not "AI guessing." We cross-reference product data with:

EFSA & IARC: To flag restricted additives and potential carcinogens.
NOVA Classification: To determine food processing levels.
Nutri-Score Standards: To measure nutritional density.

            Privacy Guarantee: We do not sell your personal shopping habits to advertisers. Your data is used solely to power your Evidence-Engine dashboard.
